In European standards, it will be given as EN AW-5086. AlMg4 is the EN chemical designation. A95086 is the UNS number. Additionally, the AFNOR (French) designation is A-G4MC.

Aluminum 5086 alloy can be annealed at 343 ℃ and cooled in air.
Aluminum 5086 alloy has excellent cold working charateristics in the O temper and less good H38 and H36 temper.
Conventional methods are suitable for welding Aluminum 5086 alloy. Excellent results can be obtained when electric arc welding is used for this alloy.
Aluminum 5086 alloy can be forged.
